We have big dreams for the future of our children's museum, but we need your help to make them a reality. By contributing—whether as an individual or through a sponsorship—you can help us build a space where play and learning come to life. Your generosity will fuel our mission to create hands-on, equitable environments for all children and families. If you have specific resources or ideas on how you can support us, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Every bit helps us get closer to our goal!
An amount of any donation will receive:
• Subscription to the Heart of Play newsletter with activity ideas, museum updates, and family resources.
• Early notifications of upcoming programming, events and mobile museum pop-ups.
Families and/or businesses who contribute a donation of $50 or more per month will receive the benefits above and:
• A limited edition Heart of Play canvas tote bag that will be filled quarterly with seasonal play materials. Bring your HOP tote and we’ll fill it with special activities and supplies to enjoy as a family.*If the play tote fulfillment isn’t something that you/your family/business could use and enjoy, please consider donating your quarterly play tote to a child/family in need.
• Invitation to an annual “Friends of the Museum” celebration
• Acknowledgement on the museum’s annual report available online and emailed to all community members and community partners.
A yearly contribution of $1,000 or more will receive:

• Name/Business will be included in our collaborative HOP large-scale ‘Dream the Museum’ mural that will be displayed in the museum.

FOUNDING 50!
Heart of Play invites you to become one of our “Founding 50” – a core group of families and businesses dedicated to building a brighter future for Whatcom County’s children. Your support will create an inclusive, fun, and interactive space where children and families can freely explore, discover, and learn side by side. By becoming a Founding 50 donor, you’ll help us foster accessibility, community collaboration, and family engagement. Together, we’ll create a museum and community hub that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and nurtures a lifelong love of learning—empowering children, youth, and families to grow as thoughtful, contributing members of our community.
